UTA moves forward to develop the U-Tapao International Airport and Eastern Airport City Project to become the center of Aviation and gateway of Asia
BackOn Tuesday 23 June 2020 at 15.00 pm, U-Tapao International Aviation Company Limited, led by Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth, Advisor to Executive Committee of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited; Mr. Keeree Kanjanapas, Chairman of BTS Group Holdings Public Company Limited; Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited; Mr. Anawat Leelawatwatana, member of Executive Committee of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited; Mr. Kavin Kanjanapas, Chief Executive Office of BTS Group Holdings Public Company Limited; Mr. Surapong Laoha-Unya, Chief Executive Officer of BTS Group Holding Public Company Limited; and Mr. Pakpoom Srichamini, President of Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company Limited, is organized the press conference of the U-Tapao International Airport and Eastern Airport City Development Project at U Sathorn Bangkok.
U-Tapao International Airport and Eastern Airport City Project is one of the vital infrastructure projects of EEC, under the Thai government's “Thailand 4.0” economic model, to extend success of Eastern Seaboard Area Development Project. The objective of the Project is to uplift the U-Tapao Airport to be “the 3rd International Commercial Airport of Bangkok” linking with Don Mueang International Airport and Suvarnabhumi International Airport through the High-speed train. The Project is under the Public Private Partnership Agreement between the government and private sector, with additional returns to the State of THB 305,555 million, tax revenue of more than THB 62,000 million, job creation of 15,600 positions per year for the first 5 years, advanced technology and human resource development in aviation and related businesses, with asset ownership transferred to the State at the end of 50-year contract.
