Mr. Keeree Kanjanapas, Chairman of Eastern Bangkok Monorail Co., Ltd. (EBM), the concessionaire for the Yellow Line MRT project, along with representatives from the EBM Board of Directors, executives from BTS Group Holdings Public Company Limited, Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company Limited, RATCH Group Public Company Limited, Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, and distinguished guests including Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich, Mr. Kavin Kanjanapas, Mr. Surapong Laoha-Unya, Mr. Rangsin Kritalug, Mr. Kong Chi Keung, Mr. Pakpoom Srichamni, Mr. Nopparat Thuampradit, Dr. Chaisak Srisethanil, and Mr. Sumit Srisantithum, conducted a ceremony to launch the first commercial service of the Yellow Line MRT. The event was held at the Yellow Line MRT Operations Control Center (OCC YL), where they also performed rituals to honor sacred entities and conducted a Buddhist ceremony for auspicious blessings on the inaugural train's first commercial service day.

Mr. Keeree stated, "Today is an auspicious day as the Yellow Line MRT officially begins its commercial operation. After a month of trial runs, I am confident that this route will significantly benefit residents in the Lat Phrao to Samrong area. Given the heavy traffic congestion on these roads, I believe the Yellow Line MRT will become increasingly popular and see a growing number of passengers following its commercial launch."

"Importantly, today the Company has organized an event featuring a parade of electric motorcycles and tuk-tuks to promote the project and thank the public along the construction route for their sacrifice and cooperation. Their support has been instrumental in completing the construction and enabling the official launch of the service today."

The Yellow Line MRT will charge fares ranging from 15 to 45 baht. Passengers can travel using three types of cards: single-journey tickets, Rabbit cards, and EMV cards, which are compatible with different MRT routes operated by the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA). Additionally, there will be discounts on entry fees.
