BTS Group Thai Elephant Conservation Project first launched in 2010 with the presentation of cash totaling THB 1,499,999, comprising of donations by BTS passengers and contributions from the company to support the operations of the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre located in Lampang province, under the royal patronage of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra, which provides care and assistance to injured elephants nationwide.

In 2011-2012, the Company continued with the BTS Group Thai Elephant Conservation Project, providing support for the construction of a new hospital in Krabi. This new elephant hospital will be the center for providing first aid treatment to injured elephants, serving 14 provinces in the south of Thailand.

To support and provide treatment for injured and disabled elephants from all over the country, BTS Group launched the Elephant Medical Treatment Centre Project, a subsidiary project of BTS Group Thai Elephant Conservation Project, providing treatment for disabled, injured and aged elephants including financial support for the purchase of medicine and equipment, supplied on both a regular and emergency basis to the Elephant Hospital in Lampang province.
