BTS Group Holds Ceremony to Sign Blessings and Light Candles for His Majesty the King on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty’s 72nd Birthday

On July 28th 2024, the BTS Group held a ceremony to sign blessings and light candles for the auspicious occasion to honor His Majesty the King on the occasion of his majesty’s 72nd birthday. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Keeree Kanjanapas, Chairman of the BTS Group, along with Mr. Kavin Kanjanapas, CEO of the BTS Group, board members, executives, and employees who participated in the ceremony. After the chairman and the employees paid tribute and offered blessings to His Majesty, they sang the Royal Anthem and "Sadudi Chom Racha" together at the BTS National Stadium Skywalk.

Additionally, the BTS Group has organized various activities throughout 2024 to demonstrate loyalty and dedication to His Majesty the King as follows:

  • Creation of three special trains: These include the BTS Skytrain, the MRT Yellow Line (Nakara Pipat Line), and the MRT Pink Line, all decorated in golden yellow with traditional Thai patterns and inscriptions of "LONG LIVE THE KING.", both in Thai and in English.
  • Decoration of royal emblems commemorating the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 72nd Birthday on July 28th, 2024 are displayed on the front of BTS Skytrains, MRT Yellow Line trains, MRT Pink Line trains, and Gold Line trains, totaling 173 trains.
  • Production of special edition Rabbit Cards: A special commemorative set of Rabbit Cards in three designs and colors: 1. "The One Who Does Good Behind the Scenes" (gold), 2. "King Rama X" (silver), and 3. "Preserving, Sustaining, and Continuing" (rose gold). A total of 30,000 sets (60,000 cards) were produced. Each set includes two types of cards: a collectible card featuring the royal emblem of His Majesty the King's 72nd Birthday on July 28th, 2024 and a functional Rabbit Card. These sets will be sold to the public as commemorative items for the auspicious occasion.
  • Decoration featuring the royal emblem flags are placed on the platforms of all 60 BTS Skytrain stations.
  • Royal portraits and flags featuring the royal emblem are displayed at BTS Skytrain stations and buildings owned by the BTS Group as follows:
    1. BTS Skytrain Stations: Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Station (N17), Samrong Station (E15), and National Stadium Station (W1).
    2. MRT Yellow Line: Lat Phrao Station (YL01).
    3. MRT Pink Line: Nonthaburi Civic Center (PK01).
    4. Display of royal portraits and royal emblem flags: Royal portraits and flags featuring the royal emblem are displayed in front of buildings owned by the BTS Group, including The Royal Place 1 and 2, The Grand, The Unicorn, TST Tower, and Thana City Project.
  • Public Relations Media: Creation and distribution of promotional materials through various channels, including the display of the royal emblem along with the royal portrait and well-wishing messages. These will be shown on advertisement boards along the BTS Skytrain route (Street View Light Box), on LCD screens in all 98 BTS trains, and through social media platforms within the BTS Group.
  • Socially Beneficial Activities: Organizing activities that involve employees and the public, such as the 19th annual "Sky Clinic" in honor of His Majesty the King, under the concept “Balance your Life: Achieving Physical-Mental Balance for Sustainable Anti-Aging,” and the "CPR & AED Workshop by BTS SkyTrain," held 10 times at 10 different stations along the BTS route. These activities aim to enhance participants' health and equip them with life-saving skills. Additionally, the BTS Group continues its year-long initiatives, including blood donation drives, as well as encouraging eye, body, and organ donations to the Thai Red Cross. Another major event to close out the year is the 16th annual “Noo Duan Vegetarian Festival,” where BTS Group and its partners provide free vegetarian meals to the public, giving back to society and promoting good health through participation in the festival.
