UTA Hands Over the First Set of Communal Residential Buildings to the Royal Thai Navy.
BackOn 16th December 2024, Mr. Keeree Kanjanapas, Chairman of the Executive Board of U-Tapao International Aviation Co., Ltd. (UTA), along with the executive team, including Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, Mr. Pakpoom Srichamni, Admiral Navapol Damrongpong, Mr. Surapong Laoha-Unya, Mr. Kong Chi Keung, Mr. Seranee Charnvirakul, and Mr. Wirawat Panthawangkun, officially handed over the first phase of communal residential facilities to the Royal Thai Navy. The project comprises two buildings equipped with facilities and marble benches. Representing the Royal Thai Navy in receiving the handover were Admiral Jirapol Vongwit, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy and Capt. Dr. Jerawat Krisanphun Vongwit, Doctor of Dental Surgery and president of the Navy Wives Association, the handover ceremony, held in Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, was attended by Senior officers from the Sattahip Naval Base, including Admiral Choengchai Chomchoengpaet, the project's creator and former Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, and Admiral Worawut Pruksarungroeng, Chairman of the Government Housing Fund for Navy Personnel (GHB), who were present as witnesses.
The Residential building project, which includes recreational and fitness amenities, has a total budget of 400 million baht. The complex consists of 4 buildings, each comprising 51 rooms and fully equipped with utility systems. The plan also features a parking lot, a multipurpose space, and playground. The project will be delivered in two phases. The first phases, consisting of two buildings with a total of 102 rooms, will be handed over on 16th December 2024. The remaining two buildings, also totaling 102 rooms, are scheduled for completion and delivery in 2026.
Mr. Keeree expressed his great satisfaction with UTA's successful fulfillment of its commitment to the Royal Thai Navy. He emphasized that this project marks a significant milestone in the development of U-Tapao International Airport and the Eastern Airport City. This achievement underscores UTA’s unwavering dedication to its collaboration with the Royal Thai Navy. Importantly, the handover of 102 residential units to Navy personnel is expected to greatly enhance their quality of life and living conditions, benefiting both the naval officers and their families in alignment with the shared objectives of both organisations.
